Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the latest Canada Express Entry draw on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, issuing Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian Permanent Residency to 3500 candidates. The invited candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 483, a 3-point drop from the last draw. The tie-breaking rule for this latest draw was April 22, 2023, 19:46:58 UTC.
As this was an all-program draw, candidates considered were drawn from Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW), and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). This latest Express Entry draw follows the previous all-program invitation round held on April 12, 2023, in which 3,500 candidates also received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) with a minimum CRS score of 486.
This draw marks the 11th draw of the year, with March being the second-highest-ever number of ITAs issued in a single month – more than 21,000 ITAs issued by IRCC in four Express Entry draws.
About Canada Express Entry:
Express Entry is an online system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to manage immigration applications from skilled workers. Eligible candidates are ranked in the Express Entry pool using the points-based Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). This system assesses and scores your profile and ranks it in the Express Entry pool. To be invited, you need to score above the minimum points for your round of invitations.
Candidates in these programs are regarded as skilled and likely to establish themselves in Canada economically. Canada Express Entry uses the Comprehensive Ranking System to evaluate the candidates based on human capital factors such as work experience, occupation, language ability and education. Those who obtain high scores are the most likely to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) in an upcoming Express Entry draw.
